Performance Conditioning for Dancers and Athletes
Pilates has been a favorite cross-training modality for dancers since its inception in the early 1900’s. The use of springs instead of traditional weights and the long fluid movements of the repertory are only a couple of the reasons. Pilates works to align the body and bring it into balance. Strengthening the deep core muscles and teaching the body to use them creates deeper body awareness and brings a sense of ease to movement.

From golfers to marathon runners to soccer players to skiers, Pilates helps athletes better their sport of choice as well as help them to lessen their risk of injury by teaching them how to utilize the body from the deepest muscles and stabilize around the joints.
