Pregnancy Fitness and Post-Partum Rehabilitation

Seattle pilates class for pregnant and post partum maternity students.All of the instructors at Pilates on 10th are experienced at working with pregnant and post-partum women.  Our clients have found that through Pilates they were able to have a more comfortable pregnancy and that they had the core strength they needed when it came time to deliver. We do this by toning your abdominals, back, and pelvic floor muscles. Also Pilates is adjustable! As your body changes your instructor can modify the exercises to keep the same intent, but adjust the form to work with your body’s new shape. Pilates is also a great way to get your body back after delivery. The primary goal is to help the body reconnect to the walls of abdominal muscles that were stretched throughout pregnancy and train these muscles to work by pulling in, not pushing out. Post-partum Pilates will also help to tone your legs and seat and strengthen those back and arm muscles you will need to carry the new bundle around!
