Studio Policies: A Few Notes
Late Cancels:
Our policy states that we need notification of a cancelation 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. If we do not receive notification within that time frame you will be charged in full for your appointment. This is a standard policy throughout the Pilates community.
This policy acts as a contract between the client and the studio. We have reserved the space for you and have hired an instructor to be present at that time. When we get a cancelation in less than 24 hours it is difficult to fill that appointment time with another client.
Of course we understand that clients can have unforeseeable emergencies such as sudden sickness, sickness of a child etc. and in these cases we will forgive the charge. We ask that you give us 24 hours cancelation notification whenever possible.
Instructor Substitutions:
At Pilates on 10th we believe in teamwork. All of our instructors are highly trained and have impressive qualifications. We believe that all of our clients can learn something valuable from each of our gifted instructors.
Also, if you have worked with and are open to working with more than one instructor you will find that there are more appointment times available to you. This is why our policy states that instructors can be substituted without prior notice. Substitutions could happen for a couple of reasons. One, the instructor could be ill or have an unexpected emergency and not be able to come in that day. Or two, one instructor could be heavily booked that day and another for only a few hours and we need to even out the workload.
That said we also realize that sometimes a client and a certain instructor just click or that some clients just prefer one instructor rather than another. In this case we will do our best to schedule the client with their preferred instructor if the schedule allows.
If you have a special request for a certain instructor please let us know at the time you are scheduling the appointment. Or, if you are scheduling online you may click on the “Instructor Requested” box.
